Kiyomizu temple is one of the most famous Buddhist temples in Kyoto. It was found in 778, and UNESCO listed it as the world heritage site in 1994. Kiyomizu temple was described in Genji-monogatari (tale of Genji), Makurano-soshi (The Pillow Book) and Kabuki etc. Mt. Kiyomizu is 242m, and Kiyomizu locate the half area on the Mt.Kiyomizu.
Kiyomizu-no-Butai: Kiyomizu-no-Butai is the terrace made from Hinoki, and it was resuscitated by 3rd Tokugawa-Shogun; Tokugawa Iemitsu in 1633. You can see around the east Kyoto-city at this place.
Otowa-no-taki: you can drink pure water (Kiyomizu), Otowano-taki, for academic success, long life, and romantic love. Otowano-taki is spring water from the hill.
Jisyu-Jinjya shrine: This shrine dedicates to the god of marriage.
