Welcome from the Committee Chair
The 9th International Student Seminar, to be held from March 7th to March 9th, 2011, brings young researchers (Graduate students and Post-doctoral fellows) from international institutions, students from Kyoto University Graduate School of Biostudies, Institute for Virus Research and Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences together.
One of the aims of this seminar is for all participants to obtain new knowledge and to make friends and acquaintances so that participants are able to improve their discussion and communication skills by sharing their research topics with researchers from different countries and different backgrounds.
As this year's slogan 'Breakthrough -Expand Your Horizons-' suggests; we aim to encourage discussion and opinion exchange in English, so as to expand the abilities of young students and researchers.
Therefore, the executive committee members of this seminar have prepared different activities so that gBreakthroughh may happen for all of you through the international student seminar. Your active participations will definitely expand diverse opportunities and bring your research experience to a higher level.
We hope that the experience and the friendships made in this seminar could strengthen your life, career and the future progress of life science.
