The difference between Division of Integrated Life Science and Division of Systematic Life Science

The difference between Division of Integrated Life Science and Division of Systematic Life Science is briefly mentioned in our homepage. As far as the research concerns, two divisions perform bioscientific research based on molecular biology and biochemistry so that they are more or less the same. Furthermore, the students of the two divisions attend the same lectures. Therefore, there seems to be no big difference between both majors. However, there is a characteristic feature of each laboratory where students conduct the research.
In addition, it is allowed to apply a laboratory of Division of Integrated Life Science for the first choice, and a laboratory in Division of Systematic Life Science for the second choice at the entrance examination.
