Welcome from the Committee Chair
The eighth international student seminar, to be held from March 3rd to March 6th, 2010, brings young researchers (graduate students and post-doctoral fellows) from international institutions together with students from the Kyoto University Graduate School of Biostudies, Institute for Virus Research and Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, under the slogan "assemble, interact, progress."
The aim of this seminar is for all participants to gain new knowledge and inspiration by discussing their research with researchers from different countries and different fields. Further, through a welcome party, and an overnight retreat, we hope to build new friendships among participants.
More than ever, we need to positively assert our presence as researchers at the forefront of science and technology. We hope that this seminar will contribute to development of all participants' careers as global life scientists.
