CeLiSIS Collaborative Research Promotion Fund Application Guidelines
1．Guidelines
The program supports data-driven life science research through collaborations between young wet-lab researchers (broadly defined as biology) and dry-field researchers (such as information science, mathematics, and statistics) at Kyoto University.
2．Qualifications and Selection Criteria
Graduate students who are eligible to remain enrolled at the University until the end of FY2025, as well as postdoctoral researchers and faculty members who obtained their doctorate within five years as of April 2025, are eligible. The five-year period excludes life event-related absences such as maternity leave, childcare leave, and nursing care leave. This applies regardless of whether the position is full-time or fixed-term.
•Each team should consist of pairs of researchers belonging to Kyoto University: one from a wet field and one from a dry field.
•Please form pairs with members from different laboratories.
•Graduate students and postdoctoral researchers must obtain consent from their academic supervisors before applying.
•Priority will be given to proposals that are expected to generate synergistic effects between researchers from different disciplines.
•Even if the research conducted by a team member overlaps in part with projects currently funded or under application in other programs, this
does not preclude them from applying to this program.
3．Supports
•600,000 yen (maximum) for per team.

•Up to 6 projects may be accepted.
